Peggy Romero

I'm a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in supporting individuals—ages 25 up to end-stage developmental—through grief, trauma, and the many transitions that shape a life. My practice centers on helping people navigate loss in its many forms, including the death of loved ones, the loss of beloved animal companions, chronic illness, life-limiting conditions, employment changes, ending of relationships and cherished dreams. My therapeutic approach blends evidence-based modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and trauma-informed care with deep compassion and a grounded, warm presence. I also incorporate inner child work and Induced After-Death Communication (IADC) when appropriate to help clients process grief and reconnect with meaning. Clients often describe me as steady, heartfelt, and able to bring a gentle sense of humor to even the heaviest moments. I believe therapy is a place where you don't have to walk alone. I'll meet you exactly where you are and walk alongside you as you move through grief, healing, and transition—at a pace that feels right for you. When I am not practicing as a psychotherapist and energy worker, I enjoy planting flowers, communing with nature and trees. Above all else, I value spending time with my partner of 40 years, bonding with our newest family member - Grey's Harbor (4 yr old Husky) whom has recently come into our world through Ruff Start Rescue and reflecting on the love of my mother and beloved Yorkshire companions who are no longer by my side but always in my heart.
