Hi, I'm Ryan. Do you ever feel stuck in the same patterns—like part of you knows what needs to change, but something keeps getting in the way? I've spent over 20 years helping people make sense of those patterns and gently shift them. My work is grounded in Adlerian therapy, which means I pay close attention to how your life experiences, relationships, and beliefs have shaped the way you move through the world—and how we can build something more aligned with who you want to be. I work with adults, couples, and families who feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. I'll ask thoughtful questions, notice patterns you might not see yet, and help you connect the dots in a way that leads to real change—often in ways that feel more natural than forced. My academic background began at the University of Minnesota, where I focused on race relations, equity studies, and social work. I later completed my clinical training at the Adler Graduate School earning degrees in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. Drawing from both specialties allows me to support both individuals and the systems they're part of. When past experiences are still having a strong impact, I integrate trauma-informed approaches to help those experiences feel less overwhelming and more resolved. Outside the office, I'm usually spending time with my family or out in nature. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, with daytime and afternoon availability. If you're looking for a therapist who is thoughtful, down-to-earth, and will work alongside you (not at you), I'd be glad to connect.
