Finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. However, there is good news! As the saying goes… "We can't pick our family, but we can pick our therapist." I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating identity, life transitions, creative careers, relationships, sexuality, and the things that don't quite fit in neat boxes. I often support people working through burnout, career uncertainty (especially in the arts), and the stress of living between worlds. As a sex therapist, I also help clients explore desire, intimacy, pain, gender and sexual identity, and nontraditional relationship structures. Basically, we talk about the things you're told never to bring up at dinner—money, politics, religion, and sex. My approach is shaped by my own mixed cultural and religious upbringing—I'm someone who eats latkes while hanging stockings—so I have a soft spot for people who live in the "both/and." I especially enjoy working with multicultural and interfaith couples, navigating big-picture values and everyday decisions (like whether we serve the in-laws a Midwestern hot dish or matzo ball soup). In relationship counseling, I help partners feel heard and respected while we figure out what healing looks like—whether that means growing closer, redefining the relationship, or parting ways with care. I work with LGBTQIA+ and poly-identified clients and am especially committed to supporting those healing from Adverse Religious Experiences (ARE)—including spiritual abuse, purity culture, and conversion "therapy," a practice that remains legal in too many places despite being widely discredited and condemned. When I'm not in therapist mode, I'm living the artist hustle: rehearsals, grant writing, & occasionally, applause. My other profession as a choreographer and performing artist deeply informs my clinical work. I understand the vulnerability, pressure, and identity shifts that come with creative professions. I work with artists who are burnt out, grieving missed opportunities, and recalibrating after a life event (like injury). As someone who lives with chronic pain from dance injuries, I bring a deep respect for the reality of pain—your experience is real, and I'll never dismiss it as "just in your head." I often integrate movement and somatic practices into therapy, especially when words feel limiting—because sometimes the body says what the brain can't. Therapy with me is curious, collaborative, and sometimes even a little funny. If we're a good fit, I'd love to work with you—and if not, I'm happy to help you find someone who is.
